“He's not interested in what your company says on paper. He's interested in who actually owns what happens next.”
Mayank Vashishta
Executive Trainer & Enterprise Advisor
He doesn't train compliance.
He trains accountability.
His Story
The Journey
Mayank didn't start with a framework. He started with businesses.
Since 2017, through M Vashishta & Co., previously known as eSachiv.com, his work has put him close to the machinery behind them: filings, governance, board decisions, ownership structures and the paperwork most people ignore until the day it matters.
Over the years, he kept seeing the same patterns. A founder believed that owning most of the shares meant controlling the company. Someone delegated an important responsibility and assumed the accountability went with it. Decisions were made without fully understanding who had the final say, who carried the exposure, or what would happen if the person at the centre of the business was no longer there.
What looked like separate problems began to point towards a larger question:
Who really owns your business?
The answer, Mayank realised, couldn't be found in a share certificate alone. Ownership had different dimensions. There was the money. The vote. The wheel. The exposure. And the last day. Who gets the economic benefit? Who holds control? Who actually makes the decisions? Who answers when something goes wrong? And who owns and runs everything when you are no longer there?
Those recurring questions eventually became The Ownership Map, a five-layer framework built to help founders see their businesses as they actually stand, rather than simply as they assume they do.
In April 2026, Mayank's practice took a formal shape with Satyamaya & Partners LLP. The name changed and the work grew, but the instinct behind it remained the same: look beyond the task in front of you and understand where the consequence ultimately lands.
Alongside his work with businesses, Mayank has also written Who Really Owns Your Business?, a book currently under review and refinement ahead of publication. The book and the Ownership Map are distinct works, but both reflect a broader question that has followed him throughout his journey: whether the people building businesses truly understand what they own, what they control, and what they remain accountable for.
Mayank continues to work directly with individual clients because his thinking is grounded in real businesses and real conversations. It comes from sitting across the table from founders, understanding how their businesses actually operate, reading what others overlook, and asking the questions that are easiest to avoid before they become impossible to ignore.
Today, that instinct sits at the heart of his practice: read the fine print before it reads you, understand where ownership and control actually sit, and know exactly who's accountable long before the day it matters.
What defines how he works.
Not a resume. The habits and lines that actually shape every engagement.
From Consultant to Founder
Built quietly for years before the firm ever had a name to put on it.
The Advisor's Instinct
What years of reading contracts and resolutions taught him to spot before anyone else does.
Why Founders Trust Him
A track record since 2017, built on the work, not on a pitch deck.
What He Won't Do
The lines he won't cross for any client, no matter how large the fee.
This is the practice, not the pitch.
His Philosophy
“The work has been outsourced.
The liability has not.”
Every founder does two jobs. The first is building, sales, product, hiring, the visible work that gets celebrated. The second is holding: keeping the legal structure, the records, and the agreements aligned with the business he actually runs. Most founders do the first job well and the second job late. Mayank's entire practice, and this book, exist to make sure the second job gets done before someone else forces the question.
In His Own Words
Not polished sound bites. The lines that come up in almost every session.
“A signature takes five seconds. Owning what it commits you to takes years.”
“Compliance protects the company. Accountability protects you.”
“You can feel like the owner and still not be the one who's accountable. That's where most businesses actually break.”
“Nobody signs a resolution planning to regret it. That's exactly why they should read it twice.”
“Founders are taught to build fast. Nobody teaches them to hold what they've built.”
“The last day test is simple: if you disappeared tomorrow, would anyone know who's actually in charge?”
